Raven,

tell me more about flipboard. I looked it up but am not quite clear on exactly what it is. Are there self published magazines on it?

Also does it cost anything?

It's basically an app that is like reading a magazine, but it's all articles from all publications in one place. Like they do the work for you and bring it all together into that one app. It's not like you know you want to read the latest cover story on People mag, so you go to this app and there it is. It's not like that. They have categories set up, or you can add others, and when you click on the category it will display like a magazine different articles from various publications from all over the place. It's all current articles, this is not a reference app where you would search for articles on one specific subject to what has ever been written about it. It's pretty cool. Never heard of some of the magazines that they pull some of the articles from, then other articles are from well known publications. While I don't check this app out everyday, if I am in a waiting room or waiting in lime at a store or just looking to pass time like I would with a magazine, I may open it up an flip through to see if something catches my eye to read.

I see it as a free app on my ipad mini. I'll have to download it and give it a try. It sounds interesting.

That really sounds great. I just found the ""hub"". But then it wants me to allow ""installations from non market applications"". Then there came up a warning:

your phone and personal data are more vulnerable to attack fy applications from unknown sources. You agree that you are solely responsible for any damage to your phone or loss of data that may result from using these applications.""

That's a little offputting. Any help with that?

Thanks for all who responded to this thread.

It does sound interesting. I don't do have Facebook or Pinterest or Tweet accounts either. (I see those things when I'm in the mood on my dd's computer).

Just apprehensive about that warning on my phone.......
