DH hates flavored coffees. If I use a flavored Kcup will the flavor "contaminate" his next regular coffee Kcup? He thinks it will; I thought that was the idea of the Keurig to be able to brew a variety of flavors without cross-flavoring. TIA. We just got a Keurig and are learning how to use it.

No, the flavor won't effect his plain coffee.

I don't know if it does or not. Just in case, after I make a flavored coffee, I run it without a K Cup. Just water through it to rinse.

I love Cafe Escapes Cafe Caramel. Yummy!

Shouldn't be a problem.

OP, my family loves different varieties and one doesn't affect the other. EnjoySmile

My DH insists I run a small cup of water through after making coffee. He just uses water for tea and oatmeal and claims he can taste coffee if I don't. Probably depends how fussy your DH is.

I use my Kuerg to make hot water for after dinner tea immediately after my husband makes his coffee. Not even a hint of the coffee. I drink cinnamon flavored coffee in the morning, husband hates it, he never tastes it in the morning coffee he makes after mine.

We have a Keurig at work and I bought one for dh for home. He does not like flavored coffees but my kids and I do. I just asked him if he ever tasted a "flavor" in his plain coffee after one of us made a flavored coffee. His answer was "No, I have never tasted any type of flavoring." HTH

when you run it without a kcup a lot of times you will see little coffee grains in the cup of water

I always run water before I make tea you can take the kcup housing off and rinse it off because those little coffee grains can build up
