@Kachina624  I'm so sorry to hear this.  I lived in Albuquerque for 8 years in the 90's and just loved it and the surrounding area.  I spent a night in Las Vegas and remembered its beautiful deep blue night sky.

@Kachina624  How tragic and sad!  I can't even imagine living where so many natural disasters , horrific fires and drought have taken place. I hope that things get better and you are safe from all

that is happening.

  We have a low level drought here in the Northeast. We are very fortunate that we are only seeing dry lawns right now.

  I pray for those unfortunate people who have lost their homes in the fires and floods.

So sorry your area is going through this.  Responding to fires is such dangerous work.

In CA it's no better.

Recovering is so hard.  Even after the fires are out, and people go back to the homes that are still left standing, trying find a way to create a new normal can take years.

@Tinkrbl44    Firefighter come in and eventually put out the big fires, everybody gets lots of press and attention, then its over and home and land owners are left with a big mess and destruction and a huge fight with the government and insurance, forgotten by the public. They can't even get rid of the debris.  I feel for them too.

That is so sad!

@Kachina624  Just now I was reading and it's lightning and thundering out...I was just thinking I hope it doesn't start a fire.

I read about the deaths online.  I'm so sorry for the families of these heros...DW

@Kachina624   What caused the crash?

@Mz iMac    They don't know.  The FAA has investigators here.  It was an old helicopter though.
