I'm the same way--I can hardly wait to see those pictures. What really intrigues me is the the thought that, in many cases, we're looking at things that don't even exist any more.

Is this the $10 billion telescope??? I'm in favor of space exploration but the cost of this seems a little?? excessive..

I'm looking forward to the pictures! By the way, the JWST is named after James Webb who was administrator of NASA from 1961 to 1968 during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, not the former senator from Virginia.

If we hadn't got entangled in the Vietnam war plus some other military actions, we'd be a lot further along than we already are now. Exploration is usually expensive; remember how Queen Isabella had to sell some of her jewelry to fund Christopher Columbus's voyage? Same principle now.
