Fire/Mariposa-Yosemite area

as someone who has spent many wonderful weeks over the years in Yosemite, specifically in Wawona, i am watching with great concern the rapid spread of the Mariposa fire.  i do hope that they are able to make a stand against it sooner rather than later and that the inhabitants and firefighters -- and wildlife remain safe.

We live in the San Joaquin Valley, about 45miles from Mariposa. I've heard there sending Fire Fighters from all over Ca. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this fire, and for the safety of the fire fighters.

We went through this last summer, close to me.  I hope this fire gets contained soon.

only 7% contained as of last news i saw.  i hope the super scoopers are here and not at some other fire.

My grandchildren our at a camp outside Yosemite Park for a couple weeks. So far, so good. But yes, this is quite a disastrous fire.
