One more day (tomorrow) and we won't have to have this ridiculous "Christmas In July" nonsense. I've checked in from time to time to see if it's still going...and it was, so I didn't watch much. Since QVC does some really nutty things, I'm guessing that when the calendar moves to August, they'll have back-to-school and autum "fashions" (if they can be called tha).

Somehow I just can't see myself buying wool sweaters, etc., in August.

To the people who are going to chastize me for not knowing that the Q starts selling a month or two ahead of time---I already know it. I just don't like it. (And QVC isn't the only offender.)

@PuppyLoverBob666  I sometimes enjoy watching a little CIJ...and there will be additional Christmas days from now til Dec. 25, so it's not over for the rest of the year! Of course August means back to school and autumn fashion (ALL apparel is "fashion", whether it's your particular style/taste or not! No need for your disparaging remark, which insults all of us who buy clothes here.)

ALL retail starts showing stuff at least a couple months ahead of season. If I wanted a sweater, I'd buy it as soon as they start showing them...once November gets here, things are often picked over and limited. And, in fact, I did order a sweater from the Lunchtime Specials just yesterday!)

These complaints come up every year...even though retail has always worked this way. I don't give it a thought. It's just the way it is. I watch/buy if I want to...which is less & less these days. I actually haven't watched QVC in a couple of months, really, though I have bought a few things.

It's the last weekend of the CIJ celebration in our small town...the main street is shut down so business owners can set up outdoors & there's lots of free activities for the kids....all the small business owners are very grateful for CIJ, without it many would have to close their doors. So to all the CIJ whiners out there be grateful instead, it may be what's keeping your favorite retailer doors open too.

The only thing I can't comprehend is why you waste time "not liking it", when it's just a thing that's been going on probably since there's been retail, and will continue until time is no more!

You will get no argument from me. I hate those July Christmas shows with a passion, plus there would be nothing there that I would want. I have beautiful Christmas things that I have collected over the years at fairs, etc.  I can't imagine what kind of stuff is being pushed on the public in these shows. I am guessing they are not made in the USA.  Oh well, it saves me money because I am not buying anything else on the Q at this time. I avoid C in J with a passion.

I think it’s fun and festive.

I love Christmas in July!!

Yes, I have a lot of Christmas items and I do not really need any more decorations, but it is so festive and fun to see all the new pretty and creative designs each year.

I love to look forward to the holidays, and CIJ also helps me to organize.

I always order a bunch of fancy food shipments for advance purchase--wine, chocolate, cookies, etc.  It is peace of mind to know that these gifts will be on their way.

The only thing I like better than CIJ is all day jewelry shows--although I also have more jewelry than I need.

QVC is for shoppers, and I certainly embrace the experience!
