I order so much from QVC my family says "If you ever stop their stock will drop". An exaggeration, I know, but not much of one.
I used to really like what I ordered. In the past several months I've slowed down what I ordered.
Why am I sooo angry today? Well I just received 2 pair of J325809. Now they originally cost $19 X 2. OK, that works, even the tax is what it is.
However, they charged me $6 even though they came in the same lightweight packages at the same time and were ordered at the EXACT same time (you know the recording say, "How many do you want"? I put in the number 2.
I used to order 2 things at the same time (mainly jewelry) small items and was charged for one. These things are a little longer than the size of a tiny ant!
It's the fact that I was charged $3 each. If they'd been heavy MAYBE I could see it.
I called Customer Service and she said that "Yes, unless it is buy one and save $4 then you get $4 off.
Here's my take on QVC these days. Too many changes and they aren't for the best.
I've had to send so many things back (compared to what I used to have to do, it's stupid).
Now with them saying, "If you use your Q card it's on Easy Pay". My guess is they are going to do away with Easy Pay unless you use the Q Card. I pay cash for everything I buy. I don't own credit cards, just debit cards and I use specific ones for QVC and never keep a lot of money on it, on purpose.
I see a lot of people really going in debt with QVC with these new changes. It's sad really. I know 2 people I've talked to who told me they bought large things on easy pay on their charge card and now are very deep in debt.
I just wanted to vent. I thank you for taking time to read this. I don't mind paying for things and I don't mind shipping. I am almost crippled and can't walk around a store or mall so I have to shop on line.
In the past QVC has always been fair and I didn't have much trouble with them.
No longer.

Prior to the shipping price changes, it probably would have cost you at least that for ONE item.
The new shipping prices are a real break, although the price of items bought have gone up.

I totally agree, we are charged 6.95 to return and if shipping and handling was 3.00 you get that charge also. Very dissapointed to be chaged 9.95 to return a pair of jeans. I have been with QVC for 30 yeard, and totally done ordering.

My daughter was doing a lot of shopping online for college things. The shipping charges were out of control. Unless we had free shipping, we didn't order.
I really don't think Q's shipping is out of line compared to other retailers. HSN charges over $7 for a lot of their fashions.

I think that what they were doing before was ridiculous. It created an environment of policy abuse.
You can think that people are going to be honest until the cows come home. But there will always be a percentage of people who are dishonest and will abuse the policies because they can get away with it.
Before there would be a lot of people who would either purchase something with the express purpose, up front, of return it, or people who would order several items with the intention of keeping one and returning the rest. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
Unfortunately, one cannot take business policies with an emotional POV. Business and money have to be analyzed with a clinical POV.
That said, by the same token that they have to be more analytical about their policies, customers can also 'vote' with their choices. There is nothing wrong with choosing to discontinue purchasing from a given company if you don't like the policies or they charge what you have decided is too much. That's the way it goes - from BOTH sides. ![]()

Donna, I'm with you. Like I said, I don't mind paying for shipping. People must be stupid if they don't realize they are paying (if they use their label) almost $10 to send anything back.
I often use their labels because the credit goes back much quicker and if it is something worth some money QVC will refund the money if it gets lost (within reason, I guess).
I bought two of those tiny (look at how small they are) earrings because I thought I'd include them in a box for my daughter who lives in Denver and I thought it would only be $3.
I realize $3 isn't going to break anyone's bank. It's just that it's the final straw. Yes, it took only $3 for me to get this upset with QVC. I don't like feeling like I've been taken for granted or treated like I'm stupid.
I said, "OK the next time I hear one of those hostesses say, "If you order more than one at the same time you only have to pay the shipping one time", you'll be hearing from me and it won't be the tiny QVC CS (which there really isn't a CS, just people located everywhere who answer the phones).
This company must be hemoraging money loss because all of the changes they are making it's as if they're trying to make up for revenue loss. It seems so obvious.
Someone said they saw where rumor has it that QVC isn't going to have 24 hour live recording anymore. I guess that change will be next.

I agree with you chicken. However, my guess is they weren't taken that much (as far as people sending things back long overdue, etc). They are a company and they wouldn't allow that to happen.
Their gimick is also all sizes the same amount. When you do that (like in life) some have to 'eat' some of the cost of the, say, dresses that require more material (larger sizes, etc), the bracelets that take more material (metal) from a size 6 1/2 to a size 8. I wear a size 8 and if I wanted it I'd be willing to pay more, I understand that it's more material, etc.
This extra $3 charge was just so stupid. I own (through my late husband) several companies. I do know how things go. I also know that you must be fair to your customers and try to keep them relatively happy.

I have a feeling that they were losing a lot more money before changing, because their policies before were too loose to make business sense.
When we talk about returns - with a company this huge - any given percentage of tens of millions of customers is a LOT of people. But, even more to the point - it's a lot of MONEY lost.
It's probably difficult to be one person and imagine the magnitude. ![]()

Hey, Annabelle! I definitely hear what you're saying.
The bummer is that it will always end up being the honest people who pay for the deeds of the dishonest, when it comes to monetary affairs.
You, being on the honest side of the equation, can absolutely feel like you are getting the bad end of the stick because they had to change their policies for the purpose of correcting the policies that caused so much policy abuse BY SOME.
My weirdness is that i tend to be an analytical, technical thinker. I don't emotionalize anything unless it's appropriate to the subject. So I look at money and business matter from a completely analytical POV.
My husband, OTOH, is an emotional thinker. OH man, I could tell stories! But the bottom line is that he tends to approach pretty much everything from an emotional POV. Consequently, he makes some pretty bad decisions. When he asks me before jumping, I give him the fact-based response. Sometimes he takes my advisement and sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes I have to say - it's hard to not say 'I told ya so' but I abstain. It's just that he has such a different, and in my view inappropriate, view of things.

QVC posts its shipping policy, many sites do not. Sometimes shipping is a complete surprise when you go to the final check-out.
If you think it's unfair to pay $6 for 2 pairs of pants, shop elsewhere. As someone else pointed out, under the old shipping, you'd probably pay $5 for the first pair then $2.50 for the second.
What some forget is the cost is for shipping AND handling, not just the cost of shipping.
