Hi Everyone. I noticed some black spots under my cat's chin and upon further inspection I also noticed some on her upper lip - they look like blackheads. I did some research on the web and have concluded that she has feline acne. It doesn't seem to bother her and does not appear to be infected. I think it's a very mild case at this point. I just had her at the vet's 3 weeks ago for her annual booster and wellness check and the vet either didn't notice them or had her eyes closed. I feel bad because a few months ago I changed her bowls to plastic, and based on what I'm reading they are probably the culprit. I immediately changed her bowls back to ceramic and stainless. The recommemded treatment concentrates on the chin, and not the lips. I'm wondering how to treat the lip area. I am going to take her back to the vet's on Saturday, but I'm very interested in your feedback because I know you all have so much experience and knowledge. TIA!
