The 'other' one doesn't have a DH or DS's girlfriend. It was DS, DS's wife, and their child. Anyway, regarding this O/P: I wouldn't call any of them for a few weeks, or even months. Just 'shake it off' for awhile. However, I suggest O/P see a family counselor. There are probably a few social/community family counselors and or family counseling groups available in her area. Go alone, give the counselor all the info., etc. Just continue on with O/P's life, keep busy, etc. Try to not dwell on this situation, as there isn't much that one can do right now. Wait until each of them calms down, in a few weeks or so. Try to start a fresh New Year. Good luck to all.
