Carrot cake.

 

Pie: Apple.

Sweet Potato.

Cherry.

Rarely eat any of these anymore.... but...

 

Cake -   carrot with lots of cream cheese frosting

             cheese cake

             coffee cakes

Pie -      pumpkin with sweet cream

Same here.  Her crusts were perfect and the filling and meringue were also.   Her lemon meringue pie's were so good because she used milk instead of water.  So, instead of shiny and 'slick' , hers were creamy and fluffy.   I'm pretty good at making them but not as good as she was.

 

My favorite cake is my grandmothers 'potato' cake.  I is a white cake with cocoa and mashed potatoes, spices and pecans.   Butter cream frosting.   It is sooooo good.   

 

Favorite pie, cherry with real cherries not that cherry goo that most places use.  Followed closely by sweet potato pie.
