So, just for funsies I have a list of 7 groups, your mission

if you accept, is to name your favorite one song for each group. I thought long and hard about my choices with The Beatles being the hardest to choose ( like picking your favorite child).

The Beatles A Day In The Life

The Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter

The Who Baba O'Riley

Fleetwood Mac The Chain

The Beach Boys God Only Knows

Queen Bohemian Rhapsody

Bruce Springsteen Born To Run

There are no right or wrong answers, just your opinions, these are mine, what are yours?I'm amending my Beach Boys answer to 1A God Only Knows and 1B Wouldn't It Be Nice.

Re: Favorite Songs

[ Edited ]

Beach Boys (I realize this is a cover of an earlier song recorded by The Regents, but I love their performance):   "Ba- Ba- Ba- Ba- Barbara Anne."  Dean Torrance of Jan and Dean sang the falsetto part--someone says, "Thanks, Dean" at the end. No credit on the album.

The Beatles:  gosh, how to pick.  I think my most often played song is "Blackbird"

The Who:  Tommy, the entire double album.  Drove my neighbors crazy when I was renting as a grad student.

Springsteen:  "Dancing in the Dark," wonderful song!

Blondie,  "Sunday Girl"

Roy Orbison, "In Dreams"

Bessie Smith, "It Won't be You"

Bob Marley. "No Woman, Don't Cry"

Taj Mahal:  "Cakewalk into Town"

I am about to rent for a while when I move north and try to find a house I can afford.  Hope not to irritate my neighbors too much! I hope I find a house soon!
