 Was watching a news channel this am which presented many songs that have been written over the last 20 yrs by various artists  to commemorate  9/11.

I did not realize there were so many  from artists such as  Beyonce, Bret Michaels, Bon Jovi, Oak Ridge Boys, Toby Keith,  Lonestar, Alan Jackson, Eagles, Sheryl Crow,  Bruce Springsten , Coldplay, Leonard Cohen, Charley Daniels Band , Cher, Amy Grant John Mayer, Paul McCartney  among so many more .

For me, it was the singing of the National Anthem by Max Von Essen, son of the New York Fire Commissioner, on 9/25/01.

It was the Yankees first game after 9/11 and it was at that moment I knew that the Nation was in the process of healing.

It never felt so good to see a baseball game.

Michael W Smith's  "Still, She Stands" is one of my favorites, but too many to mention them all....they all have the common theme of honoring the greatness of our country, so love them all.

It was very emotional to see the NFL games with the players carrying the USA Flag while the National Anthem played

A respectfully sung version of the national anthem is the best of all; unfortunately, too many singers like to put their own "twist" on the original and I just have to turn the channel.
