I grew up on fair food, gosh it was only once a year.

I still don't know what a corn dog is.

I liked getting fried dough at the fair. I never got meat, didn't trust how long it had been out there in the hot summer sun.

When I go to the fair I have to have a hot dog and a funnel cake. Love them both.

I don't go to the fair, ever but we do have other carnivals throughout the summer and at one of them, I will have an elephant ear. That's it.

Hi Ford, a corn dog is a hot dog dipped in cornmeal batter and deep fried-it's on a stick and you can dip it in mustard or whatever.Smile

They are yummo! I've made them at home: put a dog on a stick, dip/roll in Jiffy cornbread mix, then bake in the oven. Just as good!

OP have you had one of those waffles at Riverfront Park?? OMG!!

NO, but, LOL, now I'll have to.

Last year I got a cronut, a couple of times, if I remember right Wink

This year we didn't really cruise the booths, we decided what we wanted to try and that was it.

We went down in the early evening, we basically went down to catch the concert that Jonathan Jackson (Avery on Nashville), put on with his band. It was a lot of fun, he sure is a cutie!

The only thing I ever remember eating at a fair was fortune cookies. I don't think I ever had funnel cake or deep fried whatever.
