Fads that have come and gone

I'm thinking mostly of jewelry fads that QVC has cashed in on but I'm sure there are others...

Those godawful Colors of Gold: green, blue, brown (chocolate), and a few other garish colors. I'm glad that's over with.

Threader earrings. I like them and I have a nice pair of moissanite (or however it's spelled) and I still wear them. QVC jumped on that bandwagon and when it was over, they jumped right off. Smart move.

A fad I wish would be over is Honora pearls dyed in garish colors. I saw some "live" at Penney's the other day and they really do look bad--cheap and ugly. And it's not because they were at Penney's--I've bought a couple of Honora strands from Penney's that are beautiful.
