Re: Facebook should not be your dear diary or replace your friends...

There is a "paranormal" chick on Facebook who is a self-styled para hostess and celebrity. On myspace she posted the most inappropriate photos of herself in lingerie. These days on Facebook it's a blow-by blow of her cheating husband. I wondered about these postings as his fellow employees were on both of their pages. Eventually he lost his executive position and publicly blamed her mental illness! She has a large number of syncopats who encourage this horrible behavior! Still do, daily. It's very, very sad.

Then you have the crazy peeps who think they are psychic and since the plane was lost, they have had "dreams" or feelings about the accident/hijacking/explosion! Some so detailed it takes your breath away! There are nuts everywhere!

I have a very narcissistic relative who not only brags about how healthy she eats and how much she works out (including constant pictures of her meals and workout poses), she also likes to post inciteful e-cards and sayings that "everyone" should agree with (religion, politics, gay marriage, etc.)

I try not to engage her because she's family, but it's hard. Every single day it's that "I'm healthier / stronger / more intelligent than you are" attitude. DH has already blocked her, and I'm getting close.

I can see why so many people drop out of FB. There are some people I really enjoy keeping in touch with, but there are so many others who drive me completely insane.

I know the type. We have friends that are runners and fitness fanatics. All the selfie pictures of their tutus with their tongues hanging out as they cross the finish line. The tongue thing?!{#emotions_dlg.huh} ;-P ick. You know when they aren't home because they have to let the facebook world know they're headed off to another weekend run.

My Facebook peeve has to do with those "share" requests. Share if

you lost a loved one to cancer

you love your husband

you love your daughter and/or son

you want world peace

etc.

Also sometimes there is a veiled threat - something along the lines of

Please share, and if you don't I'll know why.

Funny Confession Ecard: If only they could get 50 more likes on Facebook, then the doctor would save that little kids life.

Or, how about:

"Let's see how many are brave (or strong or caring, etc) enough to repost this. I know which of my friends will or won't do it!"

Really? Oh, I'm so relieved because I always hate to disappoint anyone. lol
