Re: Facebook Problem

[ Edited ]

I love FaceBook. I wish the Forums were more like FB so I can delete Threads and Posts I am not interested in rather than just passing them by.

On FB I read what I am interested in. Anyone who sends me a Friend request I can always reject. I also like Marketplace. Get a lot of deals for houses that we flip.

I can block someone or delete the account if I want to. I like that. You also don't have to use your real name.

It keeps me in touch with friends when I feel like talking to them or read what they say. I have a choice.

if you go to the facebook page and press the "Esc" key on your keyboard, the login message will disappear.

Hey I just did on my local bakeries facebook site.  Now I can see what the menu is for the whole week for cupcakes!  Thanks.

Never let anyone use your computer unless you are standing right over them.  I once had a house guest get into mine and change all kinds of settings.  We are still friends by email as she lives 450 miles away, but I've never asked her back to stay.  She also allowed her dog to poop on the floor and a few other things.

I have never had a Facebook account but check a few public sites.

It has now been a week since those sites have required login.

I tried opening an account using a fake name. I was immediately suspended (?) for six months for hiding my true identity (!).

I clicked on Appeal but that required giving them my cell phone number which I don't want to do.

Any suggestions?

Too many people use it as a personal diary.

I have an account but am not very active for the reason above.

The more people post about what they have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ( I wish it was only that ) the more I stay away.

Why some want to live their "life" out loud on a social media site is beyond me.

Simply "unfollow" them and you can look at their page when you want to but their post won't show up on your page all the time!

Read a couple of posts up to get help with your Esc button.

@beckyb1012    I wish I had seen that post prior to registering with a fake name. Now all I get is the suspension notice and ESC does nothing.

That is a shame.  I went and tried the Esc. button on my other public facebook accounts I follow and it works on all.  FYI:  they are all local bakery stores. Man Wink
