Face Shield

I have seen a face shield that has the words FACE SHIELD emblazoned across the foehead.

I don't see a big deal about having the words on the shield.

At least they are showing it with the mask underneath since it has been determined they are pretty useless on their own.

I know what 'they' say about face shields but as a novice it seems to me like they are better than cloth face masks.

I used to paint walls (love to paint) and I can tell you first hand you'd never put down regular material to protect your floors from paint splatters. The paint goes right through the teeny tiney spaces in the material but last time I checked nothing can get through that plastic.

Also it comes down to the neck and up to the forehead. That Covid must be smart to know it has to travel from the mouth area and bend upward and downward and over to the person on the opposite side of the face mask.

Just saying. I always wear a mask because it's a lot easier than putting that face shield around you.

Also I'm a slob and the thing would get so dirty it would look gross.

Face shields are meant to be an extra level of protection from splashing body fluids, which is NOT a rare event, at the bedside. You wouldn't want such contamination on your mask, your face, and definitely not in your eyes. But, alone, face shields aren't protective for circulating respiratory viruses, anymore than a lampshade on the head .
