look it up!!!!!!!!
What??? Generally speaking, and also as Message Board Etiquette, people should never assume others will automatically know what they are talking about.
Communication done in person has the additional benefit of visuals ... eye rolling, facial and hand gestures, as well as body language and sarcasm make it easy to understand.
With just the words in online discussions, people have to take your comments at face value.
So .. if you're thinking of a movie or book, it needs to be referenced.
Why? There is no reason you should provide incomplete communications and then expect others to do research to figure out what you're really saying. That's just rude.
I'm guessing you should take the time to Google "message board etiquette" and get up to speed. Seriously.
JMO, of course.

See post # 28.
You should never assume everyone on here has watched every movie ever made.

I understand other posters' confusion.
If you want to have a signature line, it helps to do something to separate it. Different color, quotes, attributed to, etc.. Just makes everything clearer.

This is a written message board. One should strive to be an effective communicator, or why bother posting.
When quoting anything whether a book, movie, play, speech, song, poem, or even manga the original source material needs to be identified. Basic writing etiquette.
Without doing so, as this thread clearly shows, miscommunication and confusion can result.
And it's not incumbent for the reader to look up anything. The onus is on the individual using the quote. It also helps when a quote is formatted as one and not as an un-punctuated line.
