FUNNY THINGS YOUR KIDS HAVE SAID! lol!

[ Edited ]

My children are in mid to late 50's, and my grands are older now as well, with a great grand over 2.

When one  daughter was under 4, we were in car on a full moon evening. She watched the moon, and of course as we traveled , seemed the Moon did too. She was fascinated, but confused... as the position was changing..  she then asked, " Mom, does the Moon have wheels?"   I thought this was a perfect analysis from a little mind, lol

I have one older granddaughter who is extremely gifted, i

MENSA smart. But,extremely hard on herself if she errs,  even at a young age. Nothing we did, lol cause the other kids didn't follow suit. lol..  when she was 5, she was drawing a boat on ocean, and made a mistake , she yelled loud enough for mom to hear, "Oh SH**"!!  . Her mom started walking toward her, "what  did I hear you say ?"  Then, quick as you could, she drew something, then pointed to it, and said SHIP, i Said, SHIP.!!  .She had quickly sketched  a ship by the time her mom got to table, lol. This I laugh at to this day.

When we lived in NY. my 4 year old son and I were watching a Yankee game that my husband was attending. My son was excited that is dad was at the game. After awhile he asked me when are they gonna let daddy hit the ball?

Although I cannot remember all the details behind the story, my older son had to practice, in grade school, many moons ago, writing down the first letter of his first name, which begins with the letter C. I remember him practicing and practicing, and he finally said, ' I'm getting so C sick" ... to which we then laughed!!! And I remember to this day, he said it so seriously! 😂

Older son was a around 3. It was time for bed but he was wound up due to us having company. I reminded him a few times that we were ready to tuck him in but he had other ideas. Dh was laughing and joking around with our company, turned to our son and said in a laughing tone, "Do you want to go to bed or do you want a whack in the butt?" Son took a moment to consider it, then turned to my husband and said in a very serious tone, "I'll take a whack in the butt, please." Obviously he had no idea what a whack in the butt was. I guess he just figured it had to be better than going to bed! Everyone was roaring in laughter!

(before anyone gets upset please take a moment to realize there was a reason he didn't know what dh was talking about )

When my second son was very young I once asked him, "Are you behaving?" His response was "Yes, I'm being have." pronounced "have" with a long A.)"  😆

My nephew, he was maybe 5, opening way too many birthday gifts at his party, opened a card, shook it upside down and said, mom, this isn't a good one!  No money or gift card inside.  We still laugh about it today, but then, it wasn't funny.

@shoekitty   My daughter couldn't have been more than 6 and we went to a seafood restaurant. She asked the waitress for calamari. The waitress was surprised she knew what it was. Then my daughter specified she'd love to have only the "rings" with no "testicles". Lol

My youngest  former SD when I was dating her Dad who had the girls fulltime said, "Please marry Dad , cause he can't cook."

She also said when she saw me cutting his hair, "Does Dad have to pay you?"  Age five.

In the office many years ago Monday a coworker was telling us they played the Star Spangled Banner in Church on Sunday  around the 4th of July. A little boy shouted.."PLAY BALL!"

Many years ago, probably late 80's when perms were popular, I had a short curly perm, and my nephew used to say I had a "globe head". Woman Very Happy

My daughter who is now 43, was a senior in high school getting ready to go to college. We were going to the mall one day and there is a county store that issues passports. I told my daughter that I wanted her to get a passport before she went off to college in case she wanted to travel abroad. I simply said, " get your eggs in all one basket and we'll make an appointment and come over here someday and get the passport".   She turned and looked at me and she said , "well I can do that, but I have no idea what getting eggs in a basket has to do with a passport!"
