Just came home from visit at my mother's retirement community. Their cable is limited and no QVC. I didn't miss it, had no urge to check my IPad except to keep in touch w/ forum friends. It was actually pleasant not hearing the constant sales pitches in the background. We listened to music, read, played back jack and rummy. Lots to do besides TV. I did record my HWBH to watch after she went to sleep & a few other shows, but no Q. No HSN and no EVINE. BTW, I've watched (when home) on HSN Trish, Smashbox, Lancome, tweak & Sally Hershbergef & Carol Brody. What are the "biggies" I should look for EVINE?

I used to have QVC on in the background, but I stopped doing that about 2 weeks ago, have not missed it at all, and it has almost been 2 weeks that I have even tuned in (besides channel surfing), and again I do not miss it, I definitely see ME changing for the better!

So sweet!  Like you, I'm in the middle of a mom-nursing-home visit for the week...with v.e.r.y limited internet (farm country).  Hope your visit went well & your mother is happy & healthy!

@sidsmom  Thanks. It seems daughters carry a lot of resposibilty & I'm an only child since my younger brother passed away many, many yrs. ago. She's 88 & just started using a walker or cane. Other than that, she's doing well. When Dad passed away 4 yrs. ago, I tried to convince her to move closer to me (about 90 minutes away), but no luck. It's tiring to do the 3 hrs. and get home at a decent hour, so just stay a few days each month. If I stayed 2 wks., she'd complain it isn't long enough, so I have to set those rules. Hope your Mother is doing well, too.

I do not watch much TV anymore but on Evine I do look for Isomers skincare, Boku Superfoods, and some of the jewelry shows I hear are nice. Oh how I miss having someone to play rummy with!
