Yesterday, my husband suggested we buy some candy and give it to the neighborhood kids on both sides of us. I was thinking the same thing, but anytime he says it first, always warms my heart. So we got the candy and he delivered it. Made us both feel good. It was cold and rainy out too, but we no longer hand out candy.

Generous Teens buy 100 McDoubles to feed the homeless
Two teenagers have captured the Internet's heart with a viral video of them buying food for the homeless in Los Angeles.
Lance Stewart and his lifelong friend Adin Kolansky pass by dozens of homeless people on their nightly jogs down Hollywood Boulevard.
"I always wish I could help them," Stewart told the Daily News.
So Steward did – and Kolansky got it all on camera.
The 19-year-olds walked into McDonald's on Tuesday and ordered 100 McDoubles.
"One hundred?" the cashier asked, smiling in disbelief.
"I'm being dead serious," Stewart answered.
The bill totaled $151.51.
A few minutes later they were handed a box overflowing with burgers, which they divided into two bags and took around town – handing a sandwich or two to every homeless person they encountered.
Once the burgers ran out, Stewart went into a Rite Aid and spent $100 more on Pop Tarts, Lunchables and water.
They handed out food for about six hours, Stewart said.
Their kind gesture went viral in less than two days. By Saturday afternoon the video had been viewed more than eight million times.
The teens grew up in New Jersey together and moved to Los Angeles earlier this year.

US Airman Hero on French Train attack promoted!
The U.S. airman who helped thwart a terror attack in France and survived a stabbing in Sacramento weeks later was promoted by the Air Force on Friday.
Spencer Stone, 23, flashed a grin and received a standing ovation after he was promoted from Airman 1st Class to Staff Sergeant during a ceremony that honored his valor, according to an NBC News video.
The humble hero had also been given the Purple Heart and Airman's Medal for the courage he and his two childhood friends showed in August when they subdued a gunman aboard a passenger train in northern France and stopped a possible terror attack.
The fearless trio were all awarded the French Legion of Honor and hailed as "hometown heroes" at a parade in Sacramento on Sept. 11.
Stone was given the Purple Heart and Airman's Medal.
"He has inspired a number of people by the way he has responded to this — his humility," Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh said at the time, according to the Air Force Times.
Stone is still recovering after being seriously wounded in a late-night attack in Sacramento while he was out with friends.
"I'm focused now on healing and recovering and look forward to the next part of my journey," he said after he was released from the hospital two weeks ago.

@KingstonsMom Scores again! I've been hoping to hear about this since first sighting, and I'm THRILLED they finally were able to free the whale. It was so sad a couple of weeks ago when there was another whale they couldn't get close enough to in order to cut it free.

Maybe not "feelgood", lol, but silly anyway.
Bagel-Wearing Pigeon Spotted in NYC
This pigeon is giving pizza rat a run for its money.
A photo uploaded to Reddit by user connierubirosa on Sunday shows a pigeon perched outside a park wearing a bagel around its chest like a necklace.
It's not clear where exactly the photo was taken, but the image was uploaded to the NYC subreddit forum with the caption, "Most New York photo I've ever taken."
It's also unclear why the pigeon is donning the unusual fashion statement, but Gothamist and other websites have posted other photos of pigeons wearing baked goods around their necks in the past.
It's the latest in a string of humorous sightings featuring New York City's wildlife with some of the city's iconic foods.
