The FBI is requesting all people with routers to reboot them by unplugging the cord from the back of the router & reinserting it in again to deter Russian malware!
This is not a matter of unplugging the router from the electrical outlet!

Must be why the Russians have not invaded my computer....I have to unplug and re plug my old router all the time because it just stops working🙂

Thanks for the heads up @JustJazzmom. Found an interesting clip about it on Youtube which goes into some detail and worth watching. If anyone's had a glich with Photobucket lately, it could be a sign. Also a threat to infrastructure.

your router is the source for your wifi, it has nothing to do with what kind of device you use your wifi with. Just FYI.

Of course it does, isn't Malware is put on the router to infect the computer? Otherwise this whole thing would make no sense

Security threats aside it is a good idea to periodically reboot your router to keep it running efficiently. Same with cell/smart phones, GPS devices, etc.
