I opened Facebook today and had to scroll thru many pages of Wal-Mart ads.  I tried to turn off by unfollowing but FB won't let me do that.  I hope they don't do this often during the holidays!

If you're that annoyed and want it to stop, shouldn't you let FB know.  I'm sure they won't stop but if you get that aggravated you need to let them know.

Ads are how Facebook stays running and as annoying as it is, if something is free, then you become the product.

Unfortunately, that's the price of "free".

I never had an ad for Walmart but once in awhile I get bombarded with ads for companies/products that I have no interest in.

I just hide the ad and move on.

Facebook doesn't care what you want or think. They want you to be quiet and consume their ads without complaining so that they can make money.

Re: FB ads today:STOP!

[ Edited ]

I joined Facebook several years ago, was so turned off that I left. People of all political stripes should object to Zuckerberg's refusal to monitor ads that are clearly false. He is begging the government to regulate him. To worship the almighty dollar at the expense of truth is reprehensible. Democrats and Republicans alike should be appalled. I may be zapped but I think this issue is one of ethics, regardless of politics.

I don’t see any of this stuff. Never see any political ads or Walmart. I don’t go to Walmart maybe that’s why. I do get ads for dumb quizzes. I have seen ads for Honora Pearls so I just hide them.

I see ads all the time I either hide them or just scroll on past them.  As the holidays get closer its only going to get worse.  After I had knee surgery and I was discussing it on facebook I got tons of ads for "Knee rememdies".  I enjoy facebook and keeping in contact with my friends, so the ads don't bother me.

I get annoyed at the Ads on TV though so different things affect each of us differently.

I use a plug-in called Facebook Purity, and I don't see ANY ads! It's wonderful.
