Somebody needs to write a "Facebook for Dummies" book.

I'm on Facebook A LOT and if you change your setting to Only Me, ONLY YOU will be able to see it. No one else. Not the person who you think you are communicating with. Not anyone but YOU. If you are commenting on a post someone has made, you do not have the option of changing any privacy setting at all.
The only place you can choose your privacy setting is on YOUR page. You can choose you and specific friend/s or Only Me or a few other choices. But that's only on your OWN page. That setting will stay for any other post you make on your page, unless you change it. The little picture at the top of the post will let you know what setting you currently have.

There is a Facebook for Dummies. There are many of them available wherever you buy books. There's also a Facebook for Seniors guide.

@magicmoodz .............The only way I am aware that you can send private messages on FB is that person has to be your friend, then you can private message them. Otherwise your messages will all show on all your friends time line.

I've been trying to talk numerous Youth into offering these various Teckie classes at local libraries. But even tho they want money, they sometimes say "to earn money," they dont apparently want to teach at Libraries for money.

@JoyFilled Warrior clearly you are unaware of how to obtain employment at a library. You don't just walk in and say Hey Guys, I want to teach tech classes and get paid for it.

Are you posting your messages on their FB page or sending a message on "messenger?"
Your terminology isn't clear on that! FB can be tailored to suit your needs! Just takes reading and doing and time!
You don't need a young person to teach FB info...i'm over 85 and I use it daily!

@ImaoldhippieActually, you can Message anyone. They just might not see it. They won't get a notification; it goes into another folder. If you're the recipient, you can read the message and as long as you don't respond to it, it will stay in that folder and they won't know if you read it or not. However, if you do respond to it, it will go into your active folder and they can respond to you.
