Anyone order this and try cancelling the 30 day membership so you don't get charged when the 30 days is up? Info says you have to cancel. So I called CS at Echelon and they claim if you don't initiate the subscription on their side you won't be charged. I don't know that I trust this.

This is stated in the "important details."

"Important Note: After your 30 day trial, you will be enrolled in a membership for $11.99 per month. Please note that your credit card will be automatically billed if you do not cancel your trial or subscription before the trial period has expired. To cancel, visit Member.EchelonFit.com, log in to your account and confirm your cancellation in your account settings."

I don't know. Maybe they get the info from QVC since the partner with them on the items sold. I just remember reading others saying 'beware' of the automatic charge.

They / It should automatically cancel itself it if one doesn't subscribe before the 30 days.

I don't subscribe to magazines with auto-renewal for that reason.

One can have hundreds automatically taken from a credit card (as far as newspaper subscriptions). It's happen to folks we know.

I didn't order, but I'm now wondering re: the assembly, and how well it works, etc.

I don't know about this particular product, but I bought the Fitnation bike and didn't initiate the Echelon app and was never charged.

@rms1954 did u ever get an answer to this? I did not initiate the trial so I hope I don't get charged!! You can't cancel without an account number so I hope not initiating works.

I called their CS directly and spoke with a rep and she confirmed that if you don't download the app and set up an account, you won't be charged.
