Today is the 25th anniversary of the Exxon Valdez oil disaster in Alaska. Lots of local stories in newspaper and TV. Destroyed the herring industry, orca pods are still weak but sea otters making a come back.

Thanks for the article. We all have to be reminded from time to time about disasters in the past that can educate on how to prevent these disasters in the future.

The Great Earthquake 9.2 50th anniversary is Thursday. Wonder what CNN will do for that.

Many people died waiting for legal settlement when their businesses were wiped out and they were left with nothing. Exxon kept it tied up in court for years and years and years.
