Yes, I love watching them. They seem like a nice family. Their daughters are adorable.

Yes they are very "real" people. After seeing so many on tv that aren't, how refreshing!

I do love this show. They are so honest and real. I am infatuated with Debi's hair and clothes. She loves vintage styles like I do. Her hair is gorgeous. Thick and shiny.

I agree with everything you have said. They are honest and real and I absolutely love her style too. It reminds me of my favorite time period for fashion, that 40's type of look. She does have gorgeous thick hair. I guess I just expected her to be like some of the characters she plays which are more on the tougher and mean side. She seems like such a sweet heart and a fun person to hang out with.

I know Irish, the hair. I know you have been involved with hair and that line of work. It takes talent to style some of those styles, Especially the down do's, with the 40's and 50's flair! Getting the volume, shine and smooth waves is not easy. In the 70's I did one hair do on me that took forever. It was a Harlow type finger wave with an update. Took me forever to even do the pin curls!

I also like their children. The kids are down to earth, and not too precocious like many shows with kids are. They seem so well adjusted and do and say things that are age appropriate!

Re: Extra Virgin, anyone watch?

Felinegroovy, thank you for the links!

Miamispices, I have to get that!!

Shoekitty, no those styles are not easy. My niece just had her debutante ball a couple of months ago. She wanted her hair to look like a Veronica Lake kinda hairstyle for the ball. Her hair is long and thick as can be so I kind of dreaded this but I did it and it came out great. It wasn't easy. Those smooth looking waves need a lot of support underneath to keep it looking like that so a lot of backbrushing went into that look and then you smooth the top out to make it look smooth and neat. Her hair is straight as can be too. I did an old school roller set, then back brushing and back combing, then finger waves and more smoothing. It took me about 2 hours (not including the roller set setting and dry time) to create that look but it came out great!!! I really loved the way it came out. It looked so old Hollywood.

I really agree with you when you say her kids seem well adjusted and and age appropriate. I don't know why, maybe it is because of some of her previous roles but I just didn't expect her to be such a good wholesome and down to earth mom like she is!
