Ms X, some of us ( including myself) have been dragged into the 21st century kicking and screaming concerning some things.   Woman LOL

Today's cell phones aren't built to last (on purpose) so you will need to update every 1-3 years.

I don't have an iPhone but the mini computer that keeps me in touch with the world is  a great little gadget.

What mini-computer are you talking about?  Am I missing something else?  I only use technology that I have a need for, and then I know everything about it.  I've had a few TracPhones, but I don't use them much, so when the last one I got from HSN was defective I just gave up on it for the moment.  That was in February 2015.

@Ms X  I'm laughing at myself!  The phones we use today can do so much, that's why I reffered to it as a mini computer.

Well, @MyGirlsMom, at least you have someone who is by comparison even more clueless than you:  me!

I was thinking what about people who donate their old phones to those boxes at the supermarket? What's to stop someone from stealing them?

My dd and I were at a play when the bomb went off! We had no idea it had happened when we left the theater! Our hotel was about 39 blocks away so we looked for a cab. All we saw were emergency vehicles of every kind speeding by us! We are not overly familiar with NYC other than Radio City Music Hall, Fifth Avenue, Macy's, and Central Park. There are probably a few other sites we know, but we had seen earlier a bunch of signs about United Nations Staging Area, or something to that effect. We figured all the emergency vehicles were related to preparing for that! Earlier that day we had seen protesters so it seemed reasonable that there would be a lot of activity. We had to walk quite a way in order to finally hail a cab, only to find out we had walked closer to where the unexplored bomb was found! I guess that's why I had seen a K-9 unit on foot! When we got back to our room we saw what had gone on when we turned the news on! We heard sirens all night long! Scarey stuff! Thank God only 29 people were injured, most not too badly!

Never underestimate the power of kindness.
