Expensive Basso throws arrived stuffed in plastic bag

[ Edited ]

I purchased 2 of the expensive Basso throws presented in Posh presents with Jill.  They arrived today absolutely stuffed-to the point of bursting- into the type of shipping bag you often receive Suan Graver tops in.

I think for that expensive an item they should have been sent in a box to ensure their safe arrival. Is that asking too much?

That sounds awful!   I purchased some pretty Basso throws a few years ago and they came in nice white boxes for gift giving.  I ended up returning them as I was not happy with how heavy, and stiff they were, on top of having to be dry cleaned.  I have purchased some things from Qvc, Hsn and Evine, and some things are just dumped in the boxes, with no time taken to make a nice presentation at all.  This is the Christmas Season of Giving, and it sure doesn't look very good when they don't care how the items are presented, even to the buyers.

They need to pay more attention to the time of year and why people are buying items.  A nice presentation, makes me want to go back for me.    It has been making me feel like I am buying at a discount store, instead of buying nice products.  QVC..listen up!!

Disappointing to have packages arrive with items packaged poorly.....The sweater I had ordered from Evine, arrived with two big dark stains on the front, no tags attached, ....ugh.

@Azcowgirl Wow! what you said here is way worse then how the throws arrived.  Talk about bad business.

I can remember when Basso coats came in a real box with tissue and a silk rose!!

Oh how times have changed!

Yesterday, I found throws as nice as the Basso ones I bought last year...at TJMaxx for $24.99 with a nice grosgrain ribbon and gift tag attached. Super soft and thick.

Homegoods and TJM have beautiful faux fur throws. I got one last year that resembles sable - I just throw it in the washer & dryer - still looks like new.  Great prices also.

Post this thread on Suggestion Box (at the bottom of the column at the left).  They read all of their Suggestions, and correct problems as necessary.   True, presentation, especially if sent to others as gifts, is very important.  (Bill to, ship to)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I just returned a Croton watch fromHSN. They put the watch box. In a mailing bag instead of a shipping box. It arrived smashed. How to you gift a smashed box.   Just plain ignorance on their part. Or maybe they dont care. But if stuff gets returned d/t damage how do they make sales.
