That is all, all week prep, over in an hour, too much food, eating out (somewhere) next year!

^^^^^^^^

Now there's an idea !! Smiley Happy

It is a lot of work. A labor of love I guess. I enjoyed it more when I had my whole family with me. Maybe next year.

This year in Feb we decided to move into town and spent the rest of the year packing, getting most everything in the moving company's storage and storing on our own in a storage unit, and both our boys' homes and moved into our motorhome 1 Sept.  But we thought we'd have it sold by Halloween, but that didn't happen. (They're gaving another open house tomorrow and we've got our fingers crossed....)

I've always made Thanksgiving dinner but my little convection/microwave unit won't accommodate much so we all went to the Buffet at Little America.  We've not been there before and  ~*O M G*~ it was more than wonderful....  I will remember it forever and the fun we had yesterday!!!

And I'll drop some hints for Christmas Day!!  (I still want the house sold before then.... but it would be great anyway!!)  Woman LOLWoman LOL

And don't forget all the leftovers, stuffed in your refrigerator. That you will be eating every meal the next several days.

After watching the local news last night and today, showing local places that offered a free Thanksgiving meal, I told my husband we are doing this all wrong!   We need to get in the car and just drive around to find these places offering a free meal to anyone who wants one!  I wouldn’t feel right going to the Union Mission, but a local church, and our favorite little diner had free meals available.

I reminded my daughters yesterday of something they actually know very well; I hate to cook, and I am not one of those hostess moms who loves to serve, and wait on their family.

Husband and I enjoyed a piece of baked orange roughy with leftover stuffing, gravy, and green bean casserole for dinner tonight.  Yum!
