I think you overreacted. It's not like the bug was poisonous. They are harmless, just a minor annoyance. I had a tiny spider drop down from the ceiling of my bathroom onto my toothbrush the other night. I just shooed him off and went on with my life.

Darn it, I wish I had your address so you could have eaten the peas that smelled like stink bugs. I wouldn't of had to waste any food. Darn it!!! I could have gone on with my life also then.

I don't eat canned vegetables so thanks but no thanks. If it smelled like a smashed stink bug then you didn't overreact and I'm sorry I said you did.
