chickenbutt, I'd never, ever call you evil for any reason or any g$y person evil.. everyone should have their own beliefs and be happy.... Dam that makes me mad for you & your friends.

I knew a real evil person but he was only that way when he drank.. he could be pure mean & evil in the worse sort of way. I won't speak badly of the dead but he had some w*cked moments.

Thank You for saying that, Suzie! I know that it's not ALL, for sure. But I'm amazed at how many people really do think that way. It's because they are told what to believe, how to think, and what to say. That I find sad. Just because somebody isn't religious, or is gay, that's a pretty big label to put on them.

I just wish more people would do their own analytical thinking based on facts and reality. Smiley Happy

Some people just won't or refuse to have an open mind, chickenbutt. I absolutely have to bite my tongue around some people but I have been known to say, you really need to say sorry, or please don't say that or stop being hateful! My husband and I don't believe in organized religion but we are believers- I had someone make a smart remark to me about that... my MIL of all people- I thought, oh yeah you go to church and then gossip and all, yeah right. She didn't say jack back to me. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I agree about wishing more people would do their own analytical thinking based on facts and reality.. and don't forget, open your hearts!

Yeah, I often find the hypocrisy glaring. I just shake my head and hope that some day people like that see how awful they are being. In the meanwhile, I KNOW I'm a good person, a moral and caring person, and a giving person. I'm not a follower of anything. I'm a thinker on my own. I know a lot of people like that and they just blow a huge hole in the 'holier than thou' type thinking because they really ARE the person they represent themselves to be.

Oh well - what are ya gonna do? Smiley Happy I'm going to just continue on being who I am and knowing that I'm NOT the horrible things of which some people accuse me, based on their own twisted beliefs.

Evil certainly comes out of rigid belief systems and not just those halfway around the world. I feel sorry for any children who are taught to believe certain things from when they are very young. They don't know any other way. It is ingrained. These children become intolerant adults and learn to hate those who are different.

PURE EVIL......

Adolf+Hitler.jpg#Hitler

I also think there are different kinds and levels of evil, as chickenbutt said. Merriam-Webster's definition is: morally reprehensible.

But that doesn't describe the kind of evil I think was epitomized by those like Hitler, and now ISIS, etc. There has to be a different word that describes that kind of evil... I just don't know what it is right now.
