@lgfan I remember the earlier ones being quite loud when you dialed, then the turning mechanism must have gotten smoother because they became quieter.  It got easier to sneak a phone call without being heard.

thats right !  I had everyone's phone number memorized, friends ,  all family members etc.   I actually do remember most of them still ....kind of scary !   I even remember our number from our first home when I was 6 or 7 .   Funny how certain things never leave us like that .  Although I can't remember most of my passwords lol   Without looking them up !  Go figure .

@DSD2 me too !   I thought that was just me !  I always know the day of the week , but date No !  Have to go and look .  Funny !
