Doing a happy dance! He called me tonight and apologized for not talking/calling. We talked about 10 minutes and he did not ask for money but obviously he is still struggling, but getting along. Told him I missed him a lot, loved him, and that we are proud of him living on his own two feet. He's going to try to go (back) to community college in the fall. Also, told him that the three of them (his brothers) will be working on coming to see us in FL this fall and we are excited. I feel SO MUCH BETTER! Just thought I would let all concerned know that there is a happy outcome....WHEW! Thanks to all of you who responded and guided me through this horrible situation.

Wonderful for you, Mary A! It's hard, really hard, but sometimes we parents just have to wait for natural or logic consequences to play out and the kids will eventually wake up. Good for you!
