When he played Jesus in The Greatest Story Ever Told, I saw it with my Mom. I was about 7 at the time. Being raised as a Catholic, seeing this image, he seemed to me to be what Jesus must look like. It was one of those life changing moments. The cast and crew of the movie actually felt comforted by his presence and some revered him. He once said that it was a role that changed how he felt about his beliefs and it gave him much to ponder. He was an amazing actor.

I heard! I hadn't even thought of him in a long time. He was a fabulous, talented man. No kidding.... his acting was so unique, and real. He just added to any film he was in. Didn't he do a movie, a while movie without speaking a part? We have lost so many actors of such high regard. Very few new actors reach the magnitude of the greats. But then again, it's a new world. People don't spend as much time in a real theaters anymore. Most new films are doo doo too. They cater to making money. They rarely hire unknowns or B actors, only those they know will bring in a house, wit their name, So few movies that draw a fill house for weeks and weeks.
