Epsilon e-mail reply to my complaint

Epsilon sincerely apologizes if this incident has impacted you in any way. Epsilon is an opt-in email service provider. To perform the email services on behalf of our clients, our clients provide their consumer email addresses to us and we deploy emails on their behalf.

There was an unauthorized access to Epsilon’s systems and your email address, and in some cases, your name, may have been acquired by this unauthorized third party. No information other than the email address that you provided to these companies as part of your business relationship with them, and potentially name, may have been compromised. This means that your financial account information, credit information and any other personal information was not compromised or affected by this incident. We are unable to disclose a list of Epsilon clients affected by this incident due to security reasons.

As a result, you may receive spam email messages. Be careful when opening any email that looks suspicious or is from an unknown sender. Phishing and malicious attacks may occur through spam email. Also, be cautious in clicking on an email link or attachment from an unknown sender or in providing personal information via email. Epsilon recommends that you update your antivirus software on your computer and adjust your spam filter settings to high. We regret this incident has taken place and for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are further investigating this incident and working with law enforcement. We take your privacy very seriously, and we will continue to work diligently to protect your personal information.
