Here's what's to come.  I ran across this beautifully stitched photo of the Rocky Mountains right now as opposed to what they'll look like in two scant months.

I find beauty in both photos.  I love the mountains whether they be covered in snow or filled with lush foliage they are majestic!!!!

@Kachina624  I'm hoping SE Pennsylvania gets snow this year. We didn't have any last year, but snow is being predicted for this winter. We'll see. Can't wait for Fall!

I am usually a "summer in the mountains" fan. However, this summer has been hotter than normal and extremely dry. We will see what winter brings. I saw a forecast that says colder than normal and more snow as well. Time will tell. The forest needs moisture whenever we can get it.

Pretty picture, and interesting! Summer is too short for me. Usually I have more free time; this year I didn't. 

I love the colors of fall, and I love the cooler, not cold, weather. I love decorating for fall. I love wearing the colors of fall - it is my "season," and I look my best in the colors of the leaves. 

But I feel like I didn't get enough time to sit, relax, and read outside. I didn't even make some of our favorite summer dishes. The lazy, hazy days didn't happen. I love the feel of the sun and wearing flip flops (supportive ones of course!). I love being able to go outside in the daylight at 8:30 p.m. I love wearing flowy maxi dresses. 

So I will wait for "Indian Summer" - warmer weather and the colors of fall!

Wish we'd have 20 weeks of fall and 3 of winter, but that would be some major climate change!

One of my daughters used to live in her college town with mountains everywhere you looked. So you could walk out and see these breathtaking views all around. It really was such a different and wonderful place from any I have been at.

We've had 31 straight days of over 110 here in Phoenix plus a few more here and there and as far as I'm concerned summer can go far far away and never return.
