Yesterday afternoon my daughter took my grandson and her friend and her children to a fun park for a day of fun before school started next week. About an hour in their play date, my grandson tripped and hurt his arm. The park called an ambulance and they thought he might have broken his arm and they rushed him to the hospital.

From 3:30 pm to 2:30 am he was there with my daughter. It took that long for them to determine if they would have to do surgery before they set the bone.

They ended up putting his arm in a soft cast and he will get a hard cast in a couple weeks. After spending some time in emergency with my husband the past few weeks and now my daughter with my grandson. Why does it take so long for them to make a decision and for the treatment to get started? They couldn't even feed my grandson until they decided he wouldn't need the pins and that was almost 11 hours in the hospital. He is 8 years old.
