Recently got this from M&T Bank...yeah right. It has SCAM all over ...it's nice the scammer knows they "bother" me...lol.
and "shoutout" information😳🤷♀️😉

DH is a retired IT mgr. so he's trained me well. ![]()
Another "clue" I use is to see where the email originates - many are pretty blatant and come from gmail, etc. Delete!

@denisemb - That's what I noticed! I got one that had a number to call in the body of the email. Instead I called the actual number I have called in the past. The CS rep told me it was a good thing I didn't click on the link or call the number. She told me to notice exactly where the email came from. Sure enough, it was a Gmail!

Also, "notification" is spelled wrong in the alert heading.
This is so poorly done, grammatically.
It is so full of errors that you can't help but notice that it's a scam.
I have to admit that although I do take these types of situations very seriously, this particular notification had me laughing with its apologetic nature--"Sorry for bothering you"--and then also the part where you had to enter your "shoutout information."
I also couldn't help but notice the irony in "suspending your account until you are informed."
That in itself, would be informing you! ![]()

I forgot about the NEW way to spell "notification"...lol
I don't even have a M&T Bank account but glad the "scammer" was apologetic ..😉
