I worked with a teacher colleague, now retired, who used celebrate Elvis's birthday each year by bringing in a sheet cake for the entire teaching staff to enjoy!  It' simply said, 'Happy Birthday Elvis'... You're the Best!

Hubby and I were out running around and listened to his radio station on satellite pretty much the whole day.  I grew up with his music-my mom just loves him-and I do too.  Hubby and I were talking about how Elvis REALLY could sing-back then there was none of this lip syncing and auto tune-it was all him.  That kind of talent sure has gone by the wayside.  It's a shame he died so young.

Happy Birthday Elvis, you were the Best. Always remember him on his birthday by listening to his songs. He is singing in Heaven, with JD, Vestal and Jake, to name a few  great gospel singers who have gone on to their eternal home.💕

Happy Birthday Elvis.

Had the opportunity to go to Graveland.    It was amazing.

     In my entire life I have never heard a voice quite like Elvis!! It is the most amazing male voice ever!! It's strong yet mellow.It draws you in.It's sexy yet elegant!! He also was blessed with incredible good looks.The two together were gold!!!!

   Elvis also had a good heart.He wanted to take care of his family & friends.Too many people took advantage of him.Not enough people cared enough to intervene to try to help him!!!

   RIP Elvis!!! You will never be forgotten!!

 @leighagemini

I agree. If he made a Southern Gospel Album, I probably have it. He had 4 live concerts in our city, one was less than a month before he died. I went to all but 1 of them(in hospital having back surgery), and loved every one of them.

Even though in his last concert here, he did not look well, his voice was stronger and better than the previous ones I attended. Was a great showman and also had the best backup singers of any concert I have attended, and that is many of the big and famous names.

To me he is still "The King", especially when it comes to his Southern Gospel music.  Missed, but I still hear him often.
