Of course it wasn't a SLAM at LIZA....however, the look on Liza's face, I don't believe she really caught the joke.

As a joke, it fell flat. I suspect if Ellen were honest, even she'd say she wasn't at her best with that comment. Lots of what she did was fun and/or funny. Not that.

I really believe you're right. She had a funny look on her face. I don't think she got it at all.

Nope you could tell she was a little shocked.

Liza has always seemed to be fragile, that comment probably hurt her feelings. Ellen should have picked on someone more emotionally secure.

The pizza thing went on too long.

All one can see is Angelina's eyebrows. Somebody's brother thought it was more important for him to be seen. He might not have realized it, but he completely blocked her face.

I watch Ellen's show everyday and love it but I think she wasn't at her best hosting the AA. Her low key approach seemed lack luster and I didn't think her comments re: Liza M and also what she said after "" 12 yrs a Slave "" received best movie were appropriate. ( actually not even sure I understood the point ) She seemed nervous and flubbed some of her lines. The show just seemed way too long. At times she wouldn't come out on stage right away and some of the presenters seemed rushed or didn't really practice their lines. I mean seriously. Didn't someone clue John T in re: how to pronounce the singer's name? Bill Murray said "" The 2013 Academy Award ...goes to "" Isn't this 2014? Most of the awards were given after 2 hrs into the show. The selfies and pizza bits went on too long. I just wish the show had a faster pace as it seemed to drag on.

TMZ reported that Liza did not like the joke about her being a female impersonator even though she does not feel that it was done to be mean spirited.
