The 'selfie' has already been posted to several news sites. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

The selfie was the first thing I saw on facebook this morning, via my sister. Smile

I love Ellen in general and really loved her last night. The Glenda get-up was hilarious, LOL!

My only complaint? She didn't dance! I would have gladly given up some of that pizza time for a bit of her dance moves.

I much preferred Ellen's approach to the big over the top production numbers of the past.

It gave the winners more time to accept w/o being rushed off the stage.

I liked it - the movies were the spotlight - not the host.

ITA

I didn't see much of it, but the parts I saw of her…she was fabulous.

Re: Ellen hosting the Oscars

I haven't read hardly any responses but I have to say she did a fantastic just fantastic job. Like the OP said she wasn't hateful to anybody. The whole thing was like a big party among friends thanks to her.

I didn't get to really pay close attention as I had paperwork to do but what I did see was really one of the absolute best awards shows.

Re: Ellen hosting the Oscars

I found her to be funny, and moved the show right along and she was funny without making fun of everybody!!!!!She did a great job in my opinion and I hope she is back next year. the Pizza Scene was hilarious-it lightened up the mood and some of the people.......I keep remembering that dreadful year with Anne Hathaway and James Franco-Now that was horrendous!!!!

John Travolta looked like a freak, with his cheeks so big they almost squeeze his eyes shut, and wearing the worst hairpiece I've ever seen. If he's going to use a hairpiece, use a GOOD one, not one that looks so shiny it's almost blinding.

Can't you go one day without critiquing someone's appearance? And it's never a good critique!

I think Ellen is a worthy successor to Billy Crystal and if he ever came back, I'd be glad. But I did think Ellen was a little mean about Liza Minelli, which was surprising because Ellen does NOT have a reputation for doing mean-spirited humor. But this was the exception, not the rule of how Ellen is funny.

Re: Ellen hosting the Oscars

The pizza guy was on her show today - he's Russian, he & his brother own the pizza shop. Ellen gave him $600+ from Pherrell's hat that was passed around during the show, plus another $300+ for a total of $1000 - pretty good tip for 3 pizzas! He also said he was a Julia fan, liked PRETTY WOMAN.
