I had no idea that Brad Pitt was involved in this movie....what was his involvement...anyone know?

one of the producers...and he was actually in it. I didn't think he was very good in it, though. He's such a "persona" that it kind of wrecked the reality of the movie for me.

Edited to say......I'm talking about 12 years a slave....but rereading .....I am thinking you are talking about Dallas Buyers Club??? If so....I would assume that Brad was a producer on that film as well...

I think the Oscars should start at 7:00 pm (est). It was a mistake to begin the telecast at 8:30 m (est)

Ellen was funny, but I cringed at the Liza Minnelli joke. You could see Liza's immediate reaction and it wasn't good.

Both Liza Minnelli and her mother are/were gay icons. Liza is well aware that numerous drag queens have portrayed her and she has even taken part in that.

I doubt the comment from Ellen bothered her at all.

I did. She may not have caught it, I've seen a couple of interviews with her where it seemed she didn't catch much of anything. But she's very big with the drag queen crowd so I doubt the joke would have bothered her,
