Re: Election ads, email, phonecalls

Calling me or sending me tons of junk election mail is lost on me.....politicians should save their money......I hang up on calls and immediately rip the junk mail into pieces and throw it in the trash.........I know how to educate myself on the issues and candidates without their junk and calls.

You know what replaces the political ads on tv once the election is over....?

"Every Kiss Begins with K" (Kay Jewelers) ads

Black Friday ads from Target with the blonde lady

and

Car ads with BIG red bows on them, because they make great stocking stuffers- I guess.

hahahaha Yes I usually laugh at those . . . and I use to enjoy getting the Neiman Marcus catalog to see the annual "his & her" gifts but I guess since I never order . . . I no longer receive them . . . heck they may have discontinued the paper/snail mail version.

This year I might ACTUALLY BUY my husband a car for Christmas . . . well maybe 2-3 days after Christmas because it is a GREAT time to buy a new car . . . plus the poor guy hasn't had a new car since 1991 . . . he always gets the hand-me-downs. So he is overdue. For a SPLURGE! He just needs to tell me what color or top two colors he prefers beforehand, as I do all the car research & negotiating in our family. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Re: Election ads, email, phonecalls

I hate phone calls. Once they open their mouths- I yell 'stop calling' - like that will do any good. I'm tempted at times to draw them in a conversation and saying I will vote for the opposite (whatever the case may be) because they called me. But I don't have the patience and just hang up very LOUDLY.

Re: Election ads, email, phonecalls

Well, they are just volunteers . . . so I am NOT rude to them or UGLY in any way . . . I just don't answer the phone or say no thank you. It isn't like it is the actual candidate on the phone or on your front porch 99% of the time.

According to all the negative ads, no matter who we vote for, we're going to get an incompetent oaf or a crook. We're doomed.
