Efficiency run Amock

I had my annual physical today at 10 a.m. Since I knew I had to get lab tests I did not eat anything. When I had finished with my doc, he said that he had ordered a dexascan and I assumed I would make the appointment. Was I ever wrong about that.

When I checked out, I was told that I already had an appointment and that Radiology had me scheduled for 1 p.m. today. I asked them to cancel because I needed to make an appointment based on my own schedule. They did.

Anyway, I would never have made it had I tried because by the time I left the lab it was already 12:30 and I would have had to go quite a distance which was impossible to do in half an hour.

Also, I was starving by then and absolutely needed my coffee.

Has anything so ridiculous happened to anyone else?
