Suzie.....it makes no difference if it is a civil thread or not. If someone doesn't like you, they will hit it no matter where you post..... They want you banned......that's the bottom line.

Geez. If that were the case, there are two specific posters who have openly stated on this Forum how much they dislike me. Wouldn't I then have experienced this so called editing phenomenon? To the best of my knowledge, I haven't.

None of us *know* why it's happening, nor *who* it might be, if anyone.

IMO, it just causes more animosity among posters to blame it on each other. Makes things even worse.

It's possible that NO ONE is doing it and it's some kind of system glitch or the system flags for some purpose.

How about everyone stop accusing others of doing it and try to lower the boiling point around here?

The Q sure knows how to create a hostile environment. Good points, Lion.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone wanting drama and victim status is editing their own posts, just for the attention.

As far as the edit squad, I always thought that they are banned for doing it in excess?

Mine are as well, as are many other posters. I envision a disgruntled former poster taking it upon themselves to report posts all day long for whatever reason. Kind of a payback type of situation I imagine. Yesterday Terrier and I were reported in one particular thread and for once we weren't even disagreeing on anything!

One thing, though, Topaz, if you want to have peace; I find the other forums are far less hostile. I never get edited anywhere else but here.

That's OK, ShowMe. And I completely understand your frustration with where you are having a conversation with someone on a thread and when you are edited out, the entire conversation sounds nothing like what was intended.

I find the other forums easier to post on and none of my posts get edited unless I do it myself. Although, now they may be after I just posted that.

Maybe if you just ignore it, the oxygen will be taken out of the room for whatever is causing it and it will die.
