Easter will be here soon, and religious aspect aside, what are some of your favorite memories?

I'll start with going downtown on the bus with Mom and getting a new Easter outfit and black shiny patent leather shoes,( and we weren't rich so I think that was only one of 2 times a year when we got new outfits ( the other was when school started and sensible shoes) -- then lunch at Woolworth's with the wooden floors -( hot turkey sandwich, vanilla phosphate and hot fudge sundae topped with a cherry)

Also walking to school past the chocolate shop where the owner made a giant hollow easter egg that he had propped open and filled with individual chocolates and decorated to the hilt along with huge (and I mean HUGE) chocolate bunnies that he raffled off. ( We never won the egg but we did get a bunny one time- had to freeze part of it and there were 3 of us kids- couldn't eat it all )
