Wow, Sue, sounds like the ride home was a terrifying one. I've seen cars lose control ahead of me on a freeway and know the panic of wondering if they are going to spin into me.
So very glad that you made it home okay. Not quite the way to give your lungs a work out (holding your breath)

When we got home yesterday we went to WalMart to pick up a prescription and Jim spoke to a friend of his who works there and he said the store had closed for an hour and all the employees were herded into a safe place as our little town was under a tornado warning; several had been sighted, but thankfully none touched down. Our friend who cleans for us just left and said she was home when the tornado siren sounded and she went into her closet with her radio which finally gave the all clear message.
No, Betty, no bruises due to Jim's good driving and he was in WalMart again the next day and the same friend came up to him and said 'Your police training came in handy yesterday', and Jim said he looked at his friend in surprise and asked him what he meant and he said ' a friend of mine was right behind you when you avoided that car yesterday!' And he went on to say that the man had described your vehicle and said it had a scooter on the back and Jim's friend said he knew you. Small town stuff
The man following us stopped and apparently waited until the red car righted itself and went on his way and when we turned off to come into town he drove by at a much more sedate rate of speed.
I didn't learn much from my pulmonologist other than the last scan I had was much like the previous one so at least my disease doesn't seem to be worsening at this point.
The wind is blowing a gale here and has been all day long. Jim's spinner is really getting a work out. I received plants from Roberta's and haven't been able to take them out yet.
BirdMama, can't believe you had snow! Doesn't Mother Nature know it's spring??? Glad your Internet's up and running again and your little feathered friend is there to help. That's such a cute visual.
Betty with freezing weather I'm sure you and Merle are ready to head to FL again.
I hope with all the company you had you were still able to enjoy yourselves. I love our friends, but I'm just not able to entertain like I used to. I was just exhausted this last time and they were not demanding at all, but still there things I have to do that I don't have to do when it's just Jim and me. Ah this 'gittin' old is truly fer the birds!
Happy Friday all! Sue

My goodness, Queen, good for Merle and thank goodness YOU all are safe and sound. Driving any more is getting so very bad - bad weather is always a challenge = we do not have a lot of that B U T we are inundated with idiots that somehow got licenses. Every minute of the day so there is such stupidity I am astounded but then we also have wrecks, injuries and sadly too many deaths on an ongoing basis. I dread now just getting into my car and going anywhere - horrible.
I am on this (&%# lap top and I am about ready to toss it. Wish Staples would hurry up and get my refurbished desktop ready to go - driving me nuts but then I did not have far to go. No comments please.
Hope all had a great day. I type a couple words, go back and change at least one orboth and so it goes. Grrrr. Laptop keyboards are NOT friends of regular typists.

Welcome back Freddie, good to see you. I have a desktop that I bought in 2012. At work I have a desktop. I would say 99% of the people that work on my floor, including my co-workers have switched out to laptops on docking stations. I managed to miss the first go round and now the recent refresh. I like having a normal sized keyboard and don't want to fuss around, hunched over trying to find the keys. I did go fancy and have a wireless mouse - woo hoo. I had one at work and liked it so much I bought the same model for my home computer.

Oh, April Showers............May Come Your Way........They Bring The Flowersssss........That Bloom In Mayyyyyyy
Yep, we awoke to wonderful rain here on this parched land and we are always so grateful to see it come down.
Rain was forecast yesterday and it sure looked like it was about to come down in buckets after church services when we'd planned to eat out. So we decided we'd go by KFC and take our lunch home. Big mistake!!! I ordered original and got crispy and Jim ordered all thighs and got a leg thrown in and there was so much salt on mine it actually burned my tongue
..........and after that fiasco it didn't even rain!!! Oh, well, we lived to tell about it so guess it could have been worse. I told him today no more KFC at this franchise. He said I'd said that the last time we'd eaten there and I told him to remind me the next time I mentioned wanting their chicken.
Saturday was nice and sunny and we were able to work out on the patio and flower beds. Jim sawed down a small chinese elm that had popped up in one of the flower beds. I was so happy to see it gone. I noticed my rose bush has several buds on it and I'm sure it loved all of this nice steady rain today. Jim thinks homemade potato soup sounds good on such a cool rainy day and I agree.
Happy Rainy Monday all! Sue
