I liked Washington, Oregon, Maine, PA, Maryland, Virginia the most and I'm not a fan of Alabama and Mississippi.

I’ve travelled by car across the country a few times but mostly from Phoenix (where we lived) to Colorado (where my husband’s family lives) and just love it. It’s sparse for sure, and in the early days of traveling this route, there were only a few (sometimes ONE) radio stations so it was an eerie feeling!
I do remember visiting family in PA and NJ and hearing them say they’d gone to “The City” and having NO idea what they meant! I had to ask “what city?” They looked at me like “um, New York City, duh”. I thought that was very funny because of course we all know our own areas best
