Re: East Coast Awaiting Arthur

The article I read said it will most likely not hit DC for their show/fireworks, but may hit surrounding areas.

I sure hope it doesn't gather strength.

we are at the beach and are anxiously waiting to see what is going to happen. as of right now though it is hot, humid, and sunny.....in the low 90s.

My son is there, too, Sunshine. Be careful if you go into the water. He brushed up against a shark yesterday in very shallow, calm water. Others saw it, too. Panic almost ensued.

The latest report indicates we are going to get rain in our area and mostly some riptides at the shore. It's going to be far enough east of us to be mostly out at sea. It may hit the higher northeastern areas like Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, and parts of Canada because they extend further out to sea. NJ angles in more westerly, we are lucky that way (sometimes). We almost have to get a direct hit (like Sandy) to get the worst of the East Coast hurricanes.

Ford, I live north of you in Central NJ and the local NYC weatherman is promising that it will clear up in time for the fireworks Friday night.

Sometimes I think they get paid off to say long holiday weekends are going to be just beautiful!

wow wookie, thanks for the warning! are you coming anytime soon?

i had already heard of 2 shark sightings fairly recently and one young man got bitten in the arm i believe. it was on the news about two weeks ago maybe.

we have noticed a larger amount of dolphins/porpoises this year that are swimming closer to beach.

We have been very hot and humid over the last week here and while this isn't supposed to affect us in any way, a cold front is supposed to come through tomorrow morning and our temps. for the 4th are only supposed to reach 70.
